Submissions for 2024 are closed!
This is a show of small, original, wall hanging, art work. All entries must be unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-made and meant to hang on a wall. No unaltered prints, reproductions, photographs, or strictly laser-cut pieces will be accepted.
Entry fee: $20 for 0-29 pieces. $50 for 30-100. We can no longer accept more than 100 pieces! Each person submitting art must fill out a form and pay a fee. Family rates do not apply.
Money: Artists keep 100% of their sales. All pieces are sold for $20 (during the sale, there is a $1 per piece fee added to card purchases. We keep this to cover processing fees.)
Drop off dates: Check your emails! All participating artists were informed of drop off dates in their confirmation email.
Pick-up dates: October 26th, 27th, and 28th from 10am - 4pm. You need to come during these days to pick-up your unsold pieces + payment.
The submission process is as follows (this year is different, so this is important):
On August 1st at noon, you will head to the “entry form” page. It will be linked here when it is time.
You will fill out a short form where you will describe your work, and tell us how many pieces you’d like to contribute. Pieces do not need to be completed. Please be realistic about many you think you’ll have. If this is your first year, we recommend submitting 20 or fewer.
The first 50 sign ups will automatically be “in” and will be permitted to bring as many pieces as they signed up for. You will receive an emailed response within 48 hours with information on how to pay your entry fee.
We will sort through the remainder of the submissions, and email you within ONE WEEK to inform you of how many pieces we can accept (it will depend on the amount of entries we receive, as well as the amount of submissions in individual mediums. We have limited wall space for delicate items so ceramics etc will fill up sooner.)
If you do not hear from us within one week, feel free to contact us to check in. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BEFORE THEN.
Rules:
-
Square inches are found by multiplying height and width. 6in x 6in = 36 square inches, 5x7 =35, 4x6 = 24, and so on.
We care about the amount of wall space your pieces takes up. Be sure to measure the outside edges of your finished piece, including the frame and any pieces that extend beyond the edges of the canvas. Anything with a total size larger than 36 square inches will not be hung.
If your piece is framed, we care about the size of the frame, not the piece inside it. If you stick a 5x7 piece into a frame, chances are the total size will be too large!
No squares that hang diagonally.
-
This means NO:
Prints
Digital photographs
Pieces that are strictly laser cut / 3D printed
Digital art
Jewelry or anything else that isn't meant to hang on a wall.
All of these mediums are acceptable as long as you work into each individual piece in an analog way. Embroider over your photographs. Hand paint each laser cut piece. Cut elements out of your prints and Mod Podge ‘em onto an old book cover.
-
ALL frames / canvases will need a hanger attached. Literally all of them.
Please place hangers within one inch of the top.
Plastic saw tooth hangers are not acceptable. Metal only. Hammer in, glue on, screw in, whatever.
Use industrial adhesives like E6000 (no white glue or tape!)
Use at least two pads regardless of the shape of your piece.
If you’re using frames, you must remove the flap that allows it to stand. Otherwise we will rip it off.
-
However:
You may only submit 20 pieces of any specific theme / medium / etc. For example: you can bring us 20 watercolor cats, 12 macrame owls, and 10 oil portraits of historical figures. Anyone who brings us this exact combination of items will get their entry fee refunded :)
If you submit more than 30 total, we may not be able to hang all of them for opening night. Anything beyond that number may be used as backstock, and will be hung before we open on Saturday.
-
NO TAPE OR STICKERS.
Please use the same name you use on your application (if the name you use differs from what is used for payment purposes, please let us know when you sign up). If you wish to include other contact info on your piece, go for it.
If we can’t read your name, we can’t pay you.
-
Pieces do not need to be “family friendly”. We may, however, choose to hang those pieces higher up on the wall, or in a separate area.
We do not accept culturally appropriated items. Be aware and do not use motifs and themes that are not yours to use. If you have any questions, contact us.
We are unable to hang pieces that include migratory bird feathers. If you're using scavenged feathers, shoot us a photo first!
These decisions will be made by us based solely on our own opinions. If you’re curious about our opinions, contact us.
There is no refund if your pieces don't make it onto the wall.
-
Please do not sell any pieces before the show. There is no incentive for people to come to the show if they can just buy things directly from the comfort of their home.

There is no refund for entry fees if your pieces do not make it onto the wall.
If you have any questions or doubts, contact us through the form. We’d much rather steer you in the right direction than have to reject something.

Can my kid submit? What if I don’t live in Bend? What do you mean when you say “original art”? Can I collaborate with a friend? Check the FAQ’s page! If it still isn’t covered, message us. We’re happy to help clear up any confusion.
We'd literally rather come to your house and talk you through the process than have to reject pieces during drop-offs.
